What is a giving day and why are you doing it?

A giving day is a day like no other in our calendar. It’s an opportunity for everyone in our community - parents, teachers, Old Caldicotians and supporters - to come together online for 36 hours and show their collective support of the School.

Giving Day is extra special because the first £50,000 in funds raised will be matched pound for pound, so every gift you make will be doubled, thanks to a generous match funding donor. Your gifts could also help unlock an extra £20,000 for our giving day, but only if we successfully complete a range of participation challenges throughout the day. Overall we’re aiming to inspire at least 120 members of our community to make a gift. It’s all about participation.

How will my donation make a difference?

Real impact happens when communities work together. Today is all about participation. Gifts of all sizes are important and with £50,000 in match funding available, your gift will have double the impact and help to unlock an additional £20,000.

Is it secure to donate online?

Absolutely. Giving online is the quickest, easiest and safest way to donate to the School. Our payment processors, Stripe (for one-off payments) and GoCardless (for recurring payments) are both widely recognised and known for their security in compliance with PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard).

What if I don’t want to make a donation online?

That’s fine. Every gift, no matter how you give it, will be counted. Other ways to give:

I’m not available on 16 and 17 October, can I give another time?

Yes, if you’d like to make your donation before giving day, we are welcoming early donations which will still be counted and eligible for match and challenge funding. Simply donate via our donation form below and your donation will be match funded

Can I claim gift aid on this donation?

If you are a UK taxpayer and have paid as much Income Tax and/or Capital Gains tax as the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all your donations in that tax year, we can reclaim the basic tax rate (25%) on your gift, with no extra cost to you.
