Where did you go when you left Caldicott? After leaving Caldicott, I started at Harrow school and I settled in very quickly. I soon got to know the teachers and fellow students very well. I started looking into the art opportunities that were on offer there and I came across this competition which I decided to take part in.

What brought you back to the school before Christmas? I had a good relationship with Mr Edwards and Ma'am King at Caldicott and I told them that I would visit them after I left. I wasn't sure when I was going to come back but when I won the art award I returned so I could share the good news.

What award have you won and what have you been awarded for? The award is called the Harrow Shell Art Competition, Shell is the first year at Harrow aka year 9 so this award is for the year 9s only. The challenge was to design and create a sound amplifier out of clay, ensuring shape and size was right. I won the award for creating the loudest amplifier. The aim of the competition was to create the loudest amplifier however there was another side award of who could create the most aesthetically pleasing amplifier.

How did it feel to win and why is this award important to you? I was very pleased to have won the award because I had spent a lot of time creating it. I was proud to have won something in my first term in my new school. This award is for year 9s to show their artistic skill to the school, the award could help me to elevate my art career at Harrow.

Did any of your Caldicott experience help you with this award? As I am sure Mr Edwards and Ma'am King would agree, in my last year at Caldicott I was spending much time in the art room. They taught me skills that I can never forget and I will always be thankful for that. We did a few clay projects last year and I picked up skills that I would not have been able to win the award without.

Any advice for the current 6th formers? I am sure right now they are busy with scholarships and Common Entrance but don't forget to enjoy your last year with your friends and after CE and after all of your hard work pays off, just have as much fun as you can because you may never see some of your friends again.

Any final words? I would like to thank Mr Edwards and Ma'am King for making my last year at Caldicott even more enjoyable and I know that I would not have been able to win this award without them.
