Welcome to The Friends of Caldicott (FoC)
A genuine sense of community among parents is a strength of our school, and one facilitated in no small part by our lovely team of parents on the Friends of Caldicott committee who volunteer their time to play a vital role in supporting our school community, working alongside the Caldicott Foundation to raise essential funds that enhance every boy’s experience at Caldicott.
On this page, you’ll find details of the FoC committee members, the many ways the Friends contribute, upcoming activities, how you can get involved to support their invaluable work and ways to donate directly to the fundraising target.
Through organising events, activities, and initiatives, the FoC bring parents, staff, and pupils together, helping to strengthen the spirit of our school while making a real difference to the opportunities we can provide. Friends’ events are well attended and are as much about socialising as about fundraising. The Friends also play an important role in welcoming new parents and promoting key events.
Please do update you Gift Aid options too, if you're a UK taxpayer, you can boost your donation by 25p for every £1 you donate at no extra cost. This makes a big difference to the overall funds raised.
If you’d like to join the Friends of Caldicott or even if you’d like to help-out on ad-hoc occasions as a ‘Friend of Friends’, please contact: Jo Maynard, Chair (Current and Former Parent) friends@caldicott.com

I am thrilled to be taking on the role of Chair of Friends of Caldicott in 2026-2027.
I have 3 children, two sons and a daughter and I run my own Interior Design business. My eldest son Sam left Caldicott in 2019, only to return as a Gappie a few years later. My youngest son Louis is in 6th form so you could say this year marks the culmination of a very long association with Caldicott! My partner, Lele Di Maso is Assistant Deputy Head, so I have the added benefit of seeing things through multiple lenses so to speak, and a ‘many hands make light work’ approach to getting things done.
2025-26 was an extremely successful year for the Friends of Caldicott. We raised over £20,000 through our very well attended events and generous donations and have been able to purchase a long list of items to directly enhance our boys’ experience at Caldicott; from a new greenhouse and stem trolley to replacement theatre lighting and kitchen equipment. Over the summer a 9-hole putting green has been installed in the school grounds, entirely funded by FoC, which we know the boys will enjoy immensely.
The project list for 2026-27 is just as far reaching and ambitious, with a varied wish-list including a major playground upgrade. We have a committed team of parent volunteers and ‘friends of friends’, and even more events in the calendar this year, from the ever-popular bonfire night, fete and summer party, to a couple of new ideas as well. Helping to support the wider Caldicott community is hugely important to me, and I hope this coming academic year will prove to be just as supportive and inclusive as the last.
This community is what sets Caldicott apart. It is at the heart of what makes the school so successful, and indeed our boys’ time here so memorable. Having been a parent at several other prep and senior schools over the years, what strikes me is how below-the-radar many parent groups are. I can assure you the FoC is stitched into the fabric of Caldicott, whilst being outward looking to the parent community. We hope to engage with every single family in one way or another, through regular communication, a great team of form parent reps who are also part of the FoC, and our inclusive event.
The FoC look forward to welcoming you at one of our upcoming events and if you wish to help our projects in any way, or just to find out more about who we are and what we do, please do reach out to me or your form group representative.
