Welcome to The Friends of Caldicott (FoC)

A genuine sense of community among parents is a strength of our school, and one facilitated in no small part by our lovely team of parents on the Friends of Caldicott committee who volunteer their time to play a vital role in supporting our school community, working alongside the Caldicott Foundation to raise essential funds that enhance every boy’s experience at Caldicott.

On this page, you’ll find details of the FoC committee members, the many ways the Friends contribute, upcoming activities, how you can get involved to support their invaluable work and ways to donate directly to the fundraising target.

Through organising events, activities, and initiatives, the FoC bring parents, staff, and pupils together, helping to strengthen the spirit of our school while making a real difference to the opportunities we can provide. Friends’ events are well attended and are as much about socialising as about fundraising. The Friends also play an important role in welcoming new parents and promoting key events.

Please do update you Gift Aid options too, if you're a UK taxpayer, you can boost your donation by 25p for every £1 you donate at no extra cost. This makes a big difference to the overall funds raised.

If you’d like to join the Friends of Caldicott or even if you’d like to help-out on ad-hoc occasions as a ‘Friend of Friends’, please contact: Karen Kumar, Chairman (Current and Former Parent) friends@caldicott.com

Hear from your Chair

"I am delighted to take on the role of Chair of the Friends of Caldicott this academic year.

My husband, Dev, and I have 3 children. A daughter and 2 sons. Our eldest son finished his time at Caldicott in 2022 and our youngest, Hector, is currently in 4th Form. Dev is also an Old Caldicotian (as was his brother), so it will be no surprise that Caldicott is a very special place for our family.

Our Friends Committee is made up of current parent volunteers who all give up their time to work with the school in providing social gatherings and fundraising events, to both nurture the community of the school and provide funds for some of the extra items that add to the boys' enjoyment during their time at school.

Recent examples of purchases made by the Friends are: the cover to the table tennis tables to allow all-weather play, a kiln for the Art Department and additional playground structures including the zip wire.

Helping build and support a parent community at Caldicott is hugely important to me and having met many wonderful friends myself along the way, I hope this year will provide many opportunities for our newer parents to do the same and continue the wonderful community that exists at Caldicott. This is at the heart of what Caldicott offers our children, beyond academics, sports, and extracurricular activities. At the same time, the committee is ambitious about raising funds for the additional 'nice to have' items that contribute to the fun and happiness for all of the boys.

We look forward to seeing you at one of the upcoming events. A big thank you to my fellow FOCs and the Caldicott staff who support the FOC activities so enthusiastically."
